India will take on Pakistan in the sixth match of the Asia Cup 2025. This article provides details about Pakistan’s Playing 11 vs India for the sixth match of the tournament.
Pakistan Playing 11 vs India- Asia Cup 2025, Match 6:
Openers: Saim Ayub, Fakhar Zaman
Pakistan would like to win the upcoming match against India, having lost the last two matches that they have played against them in the T20I format of the game.
The Pakistani selectors have named a strong squad for the Asia Cup and would bank on it to get the job done.
The squad has a good blend of youth and experience with the likes of Fakhar Zaman, Salman Ali Agha in the batting department, while the team’s bowling will rely upon the likes of Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Mohammad Nawaz.
The Men In Green will open the batting with the dynamic duo of Fakhar Zaman and Saim Ayub, both of whom are known for their aggressive batting in the first six overs.
Both Zaman and Ayub will look to fulfill their reputation as big hitters who can clear the boundary with ease by putting pressure on India’s strong bowling lineup.
Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Mohammad Haris (wk), Hasan Nawaz, Salman Ali Agha (c), Faheem Ashraf, Hussain Talat, Mohammad Nawaz
Both openers will be followed by a relatively less experienced middle order, with the onus of scoring the bulk of the team runs being on captain Salman Ali Agha.
Agha would want good support from the young duo of Hasan Nawaz and wicketkeeper batter Mohammad Haris, both of whom have in the past shown what they are capable of doing in the middle overs.
Pakistan is expected to go into the match against India with a deep batting lineup, with batting preferably till number eight.
If the case remains so, then we can witness three all-rounders in the playing XI in the form of Mohammad Nawaz, Hussain Talat, and Faheem Ashraf.
However, irrespective of the depth in the batting order, the responsibility will be on the top five batters to get the job done while batting first or while chasing.
Bowlers: Shaheen Afridi, Abrar Ahmed, Haris Rauf
As far as the bowling is concerned, it might get compromised a bit if the team management decides to go with a long batting lineup. As a result, the Salman Ali Agha-led side will have to depend on part-time bowlers.
The Men in Green are expected to go with three specialist bowlers and three all-rounders to complete the team’s bowling against India’s strong batting lineup.
Out of the three specialist bowlers, Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf will take care of Pakistan’s fast bowling department, with Abrar Ahmed being the specialist spinner.
Shaheen and Haris will be assisted by Faheem Ashraf and Husain Talat as the two fast bowling all-rounders, while Mohammad Nawaz will act as the spin bowling all-rounder, who will be the second spinner along with Abrar Ahmed.
Captain Salman Ali Agha and Saim Ayub may also chip in with an over or two if the situation demands so.
