Finally, after a lot of waiting, social media uproar and defeat of some matches, Vaibhav Suryavanshi made his debut in international cricket. 15 year old Vaibhav played his first match for Team India in the second T20 match against England. In this way he became India’s youngest cricketer at the age of 15 years and 99 days. After this historic achievement, former leg spinner Laxman Sivaramakrishnan has said that now Vaibhav should be fed continuously and even he should not be given any kind of rest at present.

at Old Trafford, Manchester Vaibhav Suryavanshi Created history on 4th July by becoming the youngest Indian cricketer. Vaibhav did not take much time to hit his first six in international cricket and hit a brilliant sixer against Jofra Archer. But the first taste of international cricket was not very memorable for Vaibhav, where he was out after scoring 14 runs in 10 balls.

Why should Vaibhav not be given rest?

Even though the start was not very good, his innings definitely showed good signs for the future. This is the reason why every fan wishes to see him playing as much as possible. This wish of every fan can be fulfilled, if the Indian Cricket Board and Team India pay attention to Sivaramakrishnan’s words. Talking to news agency PTI, Sivaramakrishna stressed that Vaibhav should now be allowed to keep playing without stopping, so that he can keep learning continuously.

Sivaramakrishnan, who himself made his debut at the age of just 17, said, “He should be given enough opportunities in white-ball cricket and see how he performs. There is no point in giving rest to a young player after giving him a chance. He does not need rest. He can play throughout the year… Batting for a long time will help him concentrate and work on his mental aspect.”

‘Be prepared for World Cup 2027’

Sivaramakrishnan also emphasized that the captain, coach and other players of the team should also give full support to this 15-year-old amazing talent. He said that even if Vaibhav fails in some matches, he should still be given opportunities. Apart from this, the former Indian spinner said that Vaibhav should be given a chance in ODI cricket, so that he can be prepared as an option for the World Cup 2027.
