Kanpur: After the death of her husband, a mother of 7 children who was living with her lover living in the neighborhood was murdered by her lover. This incident which took place in Titvapur of Ghatampur tehsil of Kanpur district of Uttar Pradesh has shocked the entire village. This 10 month old murder case has now come to light. When the people of this Tikvapur village of Kanpur were preparing to sleep, the police was taking out a dead body buried there 10 months ago. The headlights of police vehicles and the torches of their phones were on to help the workers dig the ground near a tower in the village. After some time, seven feet under the ground they found a skeleton. The bones found there told the story of love, lust, hatred and betrayal.
That skeleton belonged to 45-year-old Reshma, mother of 7 children. Reshma was murdered 10 months ago by her lover Gorelal. Whenever his son Bablu asked Gorelal about his mother, he would directly reply that she would not come again. Initially Bablu thought it was a joke, but when Gorelal started saying the same thing again and again, he became suspicious. Therefore, on December 29, son Bablu lodged a missing report of his mother with the police. Then this murder case that happened 10 months ago came to light.
Fell in love with neighbor after husband’s death
Reshma’s husband Ram Babu Sankhwar died three years ago. The couple had 4 sons and 3 daughters. After her husband’s death, Reshma became friends with Gorelal, who lived in the neighbourhood. This friendship turned into love and I don’t know what happened to her that she left her children and started living with her lover. Fed up with their mother’s behaviour, the children also broke relations with her.
A Wedding Card: The Son’s Search for the Mother
Meanwhile, on November 29, there was a wedding of a relative of Reshma. Reshma was also invited to this wedding, but she did not come. Due to this, son Bablu became suspicious about his mother. He went straight to Gorelal’s house and asked where his mother was. But Gorelal just said that your mother will not come back. When he did not tell anything even after repeated asking, son Bablu contacted the police.
After Bablu’s complaint, when the police detained Gorelal and started interrogating him, he revealed the truth. He told that he and Reshma had a fight in April last year. He wanted to get rid of Reshma, so he asked her to go and stay at a relative’s place. But Reshma refused, which led to frequent fights between them. During one such fight, Gorelal strangled Reshma to death. After this, he kept the body in the house for two days and then planned to dispose of it and bury it at a deserted place near the house.
It is said that a woman should be supported by her parents in childhood, husband in youth and children in old age. By the way, Reshma was not yet of old age. But no one says nor should it be said that a woman should always be subordinate to a man, because she has her own life and her own dreams. But if someone tries to live without thinking, keeping his intelligence at bay, his fate may also be like that of Reshma. Many such incidents happening around us are proof of this.
