Assam Police has carried out a big and shocking action in Guwahati. Police have arrested 3 vicious youths resident of Uttar Pradesh, from whom fake notes worth Rs 10.90 lakh have been recovered.
The matter is not limited to Assam only, the police suspect that it is part of a much larger interstate fake currency racket. For this reason, many police teams have now started investigating this network in different states.
The car stopped in film style and the secret was revealed This entire action was no less than a film scene. On Wednesday, the police received a very concrete and secret information. Based on this input, a blockade was imposed on Punjabi Road in Six Mile area of Guwahati. Then a suspicious vehicle with Uttar Pradesh number (UP-35 BV-8240) was seen coming there. When the police stopped the car and searched it closely, the officers were also stunned. Bundles of fake notes of Rs 500 each were recovered from inside the vehicle, the total value of which was estimated at Rs 10.90 lakh.
The accused are residents of Kanpur and Unnao. The three arrested accused are residents of Uttar Pradesh and had come to Assam to execute some big network. Police have also released their names and addresses:- – Anuj Gupta (34 years) – Resident: Unnao, Uttar Pradesh – Mahesh Shukla (32 years) – Resident: Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh – Roshan Gupta (28 years) – Resident: Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh – At present, the police has started preparations to present these three in the court and interrogate them by taking them on remand.
Not just the note, crime kit found in the car The most mysterious thing in this case is that the police not only found fake notes from the vehicle, but also found some items which have alarmed the security agencies. The list of recovered items includes:- – A gas cutter and gas cylinder – A dao (sharp weapon) – A gold flame lighter – A cutting plier (pillars)
The finding of a gas cutter and a sharp weapon in the vehicle indicates that this gang was not only planning to issue fake notes but was also planning to cut off an ATM or commit a major robbery. The police are now strictly interrogating these three to find out where this consignment of fake notes was printed, to whom it was to be given in Assam and what was the real masterplan of the weapons found in the vehicle. Officials claim that some more big faces may soon be arrested in this case.
