Jaisalmer Energy Project: ONGC has started production by activating the gas wells closed in the desert area of Jaisalmer near the Indo-Pak border. 1 lakh cubic meters of gas will be available daily, which will reduce the energy crisis and increase employment.
ONGC Gas Production Jaisalmer: A new door of energy is open in the desert area adjacent to the India-Pakistan border. The government company Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has started production by re -activating gas wells that have been closed for many years. On Monday, the formal inauguration of this project, Director O.P. Sinha and Aurangasu government did it. This store of energy will provide employment to many people.
1 lakh cubic meter gas will be available daily from Jaisalmer
Seven years later, many gas wells in the area were discontinued due to technical difficulties and lack of demands about seven years ago. Now about 1 lakh cubic meters of natural gas is being produced daily from the identifier darbba block. This gas will be mainly supplied to the gas thermal power plant (GTPP) in Ramgarh, which was not able to function with full capacity due to a long -term gas deficiency.
Big help in dealing with energy crisis
- Director O.P. Sinha said that this initiative will strengthen the energy supply in the state. He said, “The fourth unit of Ramgarh GTPP was not being started due to the unavailability of gas. Now enough gas will be available here and power generation capacity will increase here.” He credited this achievement to engineers and associate companies Gayle India, Oil India and RVVNL.
- ONGC officials say that two wells are currently being produced, but in the next one or two years, a target of about 2.5 lakh cubic meters of gas has been set daily. Apart from this, new reserves of oil and gas in the region are also being discovered at a fast pace.
