Valtoha panchayat president and AAP leader Jarnail Singh was shot dead during a wedding ceremony in Amritsar. 3 attackers shot him and fled. Police have identified the accused and the operation to arrest them is underway.
Amritsar. A Panchayat president who had gone to a wedding on the invitation of friends was shot dead by miscreants. While he was at a wedding, three unknown people opened fire on him. The Panchayat President died in this attack. The attackers fled after the firing. The person who died was Valtoha panchayat president and Aam Aadmi Party leader Jarnail Singh. The wedding ceremony was held at a resort in Amritsar. Jarnail Singh had reached the wedding resort in Amritsar with his driver and congratulated the new couple. He talked to friends and many people present at the wedding. Meanwhile, when a phone call came, he went away from the crowd and started talking. Then he was attacked.
Accused identified, operation underway to arrest them
The accused who shot and killed the Panchayat President have been identified. All the CCTV footage of the resort and the CCTV footage of the movement of the accused have been collected and identified. Amritsar Police Commissioner has said that the accused will be arrested soon and for this the police is running an operation.
There was an attack in March also
This is not the first time Jarnail Singh has been attacked. There was also firing on him in the month of March 2025. When he was returning home with the driver, the miscreants opened fire. Both Jarnail Singh and his driver were injured in this attack. Unknown people had fired several rounds. As soon as people started gathering after hearing the gunshots, the attackers ran away. Later, the local people immediately admitted him to the hospital, which saved his life. After taking rest for 3 months, Jarnail Singh became active in politics again.
Jarnail Singh was associated with Aam Aadmi Party. It is being said that being a businessman, Jarnail Singh also had many enemies. According to the report, there was a lot of opposition to Jarnail Singh’s stance and decisions in politics and business, due to which he had made many enemies.
