International Airport Connectivity: How many electric buses are being prepared to run for the connectivity of Jewar Airport? Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave instructions to speed up land acquisition for which expressway projects? How many EV charging stations are targeted to be developed in Uttar Pradesh by 2030?
The rapidly changing infrastructure picture in Uttar Pradesh is no longer limited to just expressways and big investments. The government now appears to be working on a new development model by combining modern transportation, electric mobility and industrial development. In this context, a big decision has been taken regarding Jewar International Airport. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to run 110 electric buses in the initial phase to strengthen airport connectivity.
Many big projects of the state were reviewed in the fourth meeting of the State Transformation Commission held under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister on Wednesday. Important issues like Jewar Airport, Expressway, Defense Corridor, Textile Park and Electric Vehicle Infrastructure were discussed in detail in the meeting.

Modern public transport system will be ready for Jewar Airport
Before the operation of Noida International Airport, the government has started preparations to provide better public transport facilities to the passengers. The Chief Minister directed the officials to completely strengthen the transport system before the proposed flight operations from June 15. The progress of operation of 500 electric buses in Noida, Greater Noida and YEIDA area was also reviewed in the meeting. In the initial phase, 110 electric buses will be provided for Jewar airport connectivity so that passengers can get smooth and environment friendly travel to the airport.
Government’s focus on electric vehicles and charging network
To promote electric vehicles in the state, the government is developing charging infrastructure on a large scale. Officials informed in the meeting that at present about 15.5 lakh electric vehicles are registered in Uttar Pradesh. The government has set a target of setting up 10 thousand charging stations across the state by the year 2030. At present about 2500 charging stations have become operational. The Chief Minister directed that the charging network should be expanded rapidly so that electric mobility can be further strengthened.
Instructions to accelerate expressway projects
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that better road and transport connectivity will give new impetus to investment, industry and employment. He directed to complete the land acquisition work of many important expressway projects within the time limit. It was informed in the meeting that about 55 percent land has been acquired for Farrukhabad Link Expressway. The Chief Minister asked to complete the land acquisition for Agra-Lucknow-Purvanchal Link Expressway, Jewar Link Expressway and Jhansi Link Expressway by the end of June.
Important information also came to light regarding Meerut-Haridwar Expressway. Officials said that its alignment has been approved and an action plan for land acquisition is being prepared.
Emphasis also on investment and industrial projects
In the meeting, the Chief Minister clearly said that unnecessary delays in investment related projects will not be tolerated. He directed the officials to quickly dispose of the pending cases and maintain constant communication with the investors. For the Multi Model Logistics Hub project, possession of 301 hectares of land out of 323 hectares has been obtained. At the same time, 144 hectares of land out of 200 hectares has been available for Multi Modal Transport Hub.
Focus on Seed Park, Textile Park and Defense Corridor
While reviewing the proposed Seed Park and Textile Park projects in Lucknow, the Chief Minister said that these should be taken forward rapidly by linking them with the agricultural and industrial development of the state. It was told in the meeting that the Seed Park project has been discussed with international organizations and major seed companies. Under the Defense Corridor Project, a proposal to invest Rs 125 crore in Aligarh Defense Node has also come forward. The government aims to make Uttar Pradesh the leading state of the country in the field of defense production.
Agriculture and fishery exports will also get a boost
The proposed Agriculture Export Hub near Jewar Airport and Aqua Bridge project of Unnao were also reviewed. The government is preparing to develop modern processing and export facilities to connect agricultural and fishery products to the global market. For the Agri Export Hub, 50 acres of land is required, out of which 29 acres of land has been identified. At the same time, 60 acres of land has been earmarked for the Aqua Bridge project in Unnao.
There will be special monitoring of ‘CM Samiksha’ projects
The Chief Minister directed that a special cell should be formed in the Chief Minister’s Office for regular monitoring of all the major projects included in ‘CM Review’. He said that time bound monitoring will help in completing the projects on time. Experts believe that if the government is successful in completing these projects within the stipulated time frame, then Uttar Pradesh can see a big change in the fields of investment, employment and transportation.
