A fresh look at the highest-paid list of receivers going into the 2025 regular season has been provided by the NFL offseason, which has seen some big stars sign significant deals.
After being traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers in March, DK Metcalf signed a four-year, $132 million contract extension with the team to get things started. After the deal, Metcalf became the third-highest paid receiver in the NFL, but a week later, Ja’Marr Chase dropped him down the list.
The star of the Cincinnati Bengals signed a four-year, $161 million contract that made him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history, in addition to ranking first among receivers. Even if Chase is still at the top of the list, the rest of the market is falling behind him.
Then, Garrett Wilson entered the battle after being given a four-year, $130 million contract by the New York Jets. It was Terry McLaurin’s turn on Monday, when the veteran Washington Commanders standout agreed to a three-year, $96 million agreement, ending his holdout. Right now, the receiver market is only heading upward, much like a hot stock. This is where McLaurin comes into play on the constantly changing list.
Highest-paid NFL WRs
After the deal, McLaurin moves up to the top-10 in both total contract value and average annual value (AAV), from No. 20 and No. 17, respectively. According to Spotrac, these are the top ten highest-paid receivers in terms of both total deal value and AAV.
