Praveen Dwivedi, the second lunar eclipse of the year 2026 will take place on Friday, August 28, on the last day of the month of Saavan i.e. on the full moon date. The festival of Rakshabandhan will also be celebrated on this day. The coincidence of lunar eclipse in the month of Saavan has occurred after many years, hence it will have special significance. This will be the second and last lunar eclipse of the year. After this, there will be a coincidence of lunar eclipse in the month of February 2027.

According to astrologers, the lunar eclipse occurring on August 28 will not be visible anywhere in India. This will be a partial lunar eclipse. This lunar eclipse can be seen in Antarctica, Africa, Europe, some countries of Asia, Indian Ocean, Pacific Ocean and Atlantic Ocean. Will not be seen anywhere in India in any form.

The lunar eclipse that will occur on August 28, 2026, will start at 8:04 am according to Indian time, and will last till 11:22 am.
