This rain has come as a relief. Himachal, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand are having landslides everywhere, which has closed the roads. Apart from this, many districts have flooded in Punjab due to increase in water of rivers.

Many routes closed due to heavy rains

Many routes are closed due to heavy rains and landslides in Himachal. The Manimahesh Yatra in Chamba district has been stopped as the threat in the routes has increased. Three devotees of Punjab, who went to this visit, died due to lack of oxygen. Right now around 800 devotees are stranded on the way. The water level of Pong Dam in Kangra district has increased. At the same time, two vehicles were hit by a landslide on the Chandigarh-Manali National Highway near Bilaspur-Swarghat. Schools and Anganwadi centers have been ordered to be closed in Chamba, Kangra, Mandi and Una districts. On Monday, Shinkula Pass, Rohtang, Khardungla and Baralacha received snowfall due to which the Manali-Leh road was closed. In Bilaspur, a bus came under the grip of stones falling from the mountain, in which four people were injured.

Rain continues to wreak havoc in Jammu and Kashmir

Rainfall continues in Jammu and Kashmir. The Meteorological Department has issued red alert in eight districts of Jammu division for Tuesday and Wednesday and alert in three districts of Kashmir. There is a possibility of cloudburst floods or landslides in many places. Many raw houses fell in Udhampur and Reasi districts and roads were closed. Gulmarg, Amarnath Cave and Jojila received snowfall in Kashmir. The water level of Tawi, Chenab and Jhelum rivers has also increased. In such a situation, all government and private schools in Jammu division will be closed on Tuesday.

Uttarakhand rains affected life

Life is also affected by continuous rains in Uttarakhand. On Sunday night, there was light rain on Monday night and light rain throughout the day. Gangotri and Yamunotri Yatra have been stopped, while Badrinath and Kedarnath Yatra are also being interrupted repeatedly. More than 90 roads in the state have been closed due to landslides. Schools were closed on Monday in Dehradun, Chamoli, Uttarkashi, Bageshwar and Nainital districts. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for several districts.
