Sports Authority of India (SAI) said in a statement, “Sumit Antil has once again created history. He has broken his own world record with a tremendous throw of 74.82 meters in the men’s javelin F64 category. With this effort, he has surpassed his previous world record of 73.29 meters, which he had set at the 2022 Asian Para Games.”

- Sumit Antil is one of the best para-athletes of India. He has won consecutive gold medals in the 2020 and 2024 Paralympics. Apart from this, he is also a three-time World Para Athletics Championships gold medalist.
