IND vs ENG 2nd T20I: The second match of the 5-match T20 series between India and England will be played today (June 4) at the Old Trafford ground in Manchester. But before this match, a tense news has come out for the Indian cricket team and its fans. Team India is desperate to register its first win under the captaincy of Shreyas Iyer, but looking at the weather conditions, it seems that the wait of the fans may be a little longer. The shadow of rain is also looming over the second T20 match between India and England.

Danger of rain on India-England match

According to the report of Aquather, the weather can also play hide and seek during the second match to be held in Manchester on Saturday. Even before the start of the match, the probability of rain during the day has been estimated at about 57%. There will be dense dark clouds in the sky and strong winds will blow, due to which there is little hope of a timely toss. Not only this, according to England, there is a 51% chance of rain during the match time i.e. between 4 pm to 8 pm. This means that there may be frequent interruptions during the game or overs may be cut under the Duckworth-Lewis rule.

However, amidst this bad news, one good thing for cricket fans is that the Manchester ground is known for its modern drainage system and state-of-the-art technology. Compared to Chester-le-Street, the ground here dries much faster after the rain stops. In such a situation, the possibility of the match being completely canceled is very less, and the fans may get to see an exciting match, albeit of fewer overs.

The first match was washed away in the rain

Earlier, the first match of the series played at Chester-le-Street was washed out due to rain. In that match, India batted first and scored a strong score of 189 runs for 7 wickets, thanks to the brilliant half-centuries of Abhishek Sharma and captain Shreyas Iyer. Then in the last overs, Shivam Dubey also played some sharp shots. However, due to heavy rain after the end of the Indian innings, the match had to be canceled and England’s innings could not even start.
