CM Mohan Yadav inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan of development works worth Rs 78 crore in Khachrod. Madhya Pradesh is being given direction for overall development through education, farmer welfare, irrigation, roads, food processing and solar pump schemes.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the state government is continuously working with the resolve for overall development. Madhya Pradesh is rapidly moving towards new heights of development. The government is ensuring that the benefits of development reach the last person of the society and no section is left behind.
He said that the wind of development is blowing in every area of the state and this pace will increase further in the coming times. The happiness and prosperity of the citizens is the biggest goal of the government. The Chief Minister was addressing the inauguration-bhoomi pujan program of development works at Khachrod in Ujjain district on Friday.
Gift of development works worth more than Rs 78 crore to Khachraud
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav handed over a total of 39 development works worth Rs 78 crore 61 lakh to Khachrod. These include inauguration of 16 works worth Rs 48 crore 51 lakh and bhoomi pujan of 23 works worth Rs 30 crore 10 lakh. The Chief Minister said that all these projects will give a new direction to the development of Khachrod and lay a strong foundation for a bright future.
Sandipani Vidyalaya: The sacred center of education, the foundation of children’s future.
The Chief Minister inaugurated the new Sandipani Vidyalaya building built at a cost of Rs 35 crore 40 lakh and the new agricultural produce market courtyard built at a cost of Rs 11 crore 30 lakh. He said that Sandipani schools are equipped with modern educational facilities and will provide quality and world class education to the students. These schools are being developed as sacred temples of education in the state.
New agricultural market with facilities for farmers
For the convenience of the farmers, arrangements have been made for farmers rest house, restaurant, water tank and pond in the new agricultural produce market premises. Along with this, the Chief Minister performed the Bhoomi Pujan of Joint Tehsil Office at a cost of Rs 9 crore 10 lakh, Janpad Panchayat Bhawan worth Rs 5 crore 25 lakh and Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM-2.0) at a cost of Rs 6 crore 91 lakh and other works. 11 smart classes were also inaugurated in the school run by the State Education Centre.
Food processing park and new stadium to be built in Khachraud
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced that a food processing park will be built in Khachraud to connect green peas and other crops grown in large quantities in the area to better markets. Along with this, a new stadium will also be built for the players. Khachrod will be connected to Ratlam by a direct four-lane road, which will provide it direct access to Indore-Ujjain metropolitan area.
New four lane highway will be built at a cost of Rs 5 thousand crores
The Chief Minister said that a new four-lane highway is being built on the Nagda-Khachraud-Jawara-Ujjain route at a cost of about Rs 5 thousand crores. This will lead to all-round development of the entire area. He said that the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal River Link Project will provide permanent irrigation facility to Malwa, Nimar and Chambal regions. The government will increase the irrigation capacity of the state by 100 lakh hectares in the next 5 years.
New opportunities for farmers and agri-entrepreneurs
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the year 2026 will be the year of welfare of farmers. During this period, there will be special focus on agriculture based industries. The government is giving a bonus of Rs 175 per quintal to farmers on the purchase of wheat. To increase the income of farmers, they will be transformed from food givers to energy givers. 32 lakh farmers of the state will be given solar pumps, through which they will be able to generate electricity for irrigation, business and earn additional income.
Special emphasis on welfare of poor, youth, women and children
The Chief Minister said that the government is continuously taking effective steps for the welfare of the poor, farmers, youth, women and children. Participation of every section of the society will be ensured in building a self-reliant and developed Madhya Pradesh. He said that it is the priority of the government to provide government schemes and facilities to every needy.
Focus on cultural heritage, education and pilgrimage development
The Chief Minister said that Nagda has a different identity in the world. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a renaissance of cultural consciousness is taking place in the country and the state. Preparations for Simhastha 2028 have started. New and better schools are being built to increase the quality of education in the state. The government is developing the places associated with Sri Krishna as pilgrimage sites with the construction of Sri Krishna Patheya.
Farmer-welfare paramount, irrigation and compensation schemes
The Chief Minister said that Malwa region is a bowl of farming. The government has distributed about Rs 3 thousand crore for crop loss due to natural disaster. Rs 1300 crore has been given to 6.50 lakh farmers under Bhavantar Yojana. 13 districts of Bundelkhand will benefit from the Ken-Betwa river linking project. Parts of Indore-Ujjain-Dewas-Dhar-Shajapur-Ratlam will be included in the metropolitan area.
Khachrod MLA put forward development related demands
Khachraud MLA Dr. Tej Bahadur Singh Chauhan said that Rs 265 crore compensation has been given to the farmers of Ujjain district. He also demanded additional land for agricultural college and agricultural market in Khachrod.
