Gill could not play in the ODI series against South Africa due to injury. He made a comeback in the T20 series but was again out of the last 2 matches due to injury. Now he will return to this series after being fully fit again. But before this ODI series, Shubman Gill will return to action from Vijay Hazare Trophy and will be seen playing 2 consecutive matches.

According to reports, like other players of Team India Shubhman Gill Will also take the field on behalf of his home team Punjab in Vijay Hazare Trophy. The 3-match ODI series between India and New Zealand will start from January 11. Even before this, Gill will play 2 matches for Punjab in this 50 over tournament. Punjab has to play its next three matches of the group stage on January 3, 6 and 8, out of which Gill will play in the first two matches.

After recovering from the leg injury suffered during the T20 series, Gill has been practicing with his home and Punjab team for some time. He can return from the match against Sikkim on Saturday 3 January. After this, on January 6, he can play against Goa in the next match. According to reports, Team India will gather together from January 7 for the ODI series, due to which Gill will not be able to play in the third match. Both these matches of Punjab will be played in Jaipur.

Arshdeep Singh will also enter the field

Left arm fast bowler Arshdeep Singh is also likely to be selected for the ODI series.
