Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has given an official reaction for the first time on the case of alleged theft from donation boxes in Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple of Ayodhya. Sangh’s Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale has termed this incident as an insult to the faith of crores of Ram devotees and has demanded strict legal action against the culprits. He has also appealed to the temple management to develop a transparent system by removing the deficiencies in the system and operation.

In his statement issued on July 3, Dattatreya Hosabale said that the grand temple built on the birthplace of Shri Ram is a symbol of the struggle of generations, the dedication, sacrifice and sacrifice of crores of Ram devotees. In such a situation, the alleged theft of money deposited in donation boxes is going to hurt the sentiments of the entire Hindu society and devotees. Demand for SIT investigation and strict action against the culprits
RSS said that on the request of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, the Uttar Pradesh government has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) and based on its recommendation the legal process has been initiated. The union said that whoever is found guilty in the investigation, strict action should be ensured against him. Also, it was expected from the temple management that considering this incident as extraordinary, effective steps should be taken to remove all the shortcomings related to financial management, security arrangements and operations.
Appeal to Hindu society to maintain patience and restraint
Dattatreya Hosabale said in his statement that Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust will further strengthen the faith of the devotees by maintaining transparent financial management, smooth operations and religious dignity. He appealed to the entire Hindu society to maintain patience and restraint in this sensitive time. He also said that no anti-Hindu or anti-national force should get the opportunity to defame the society and religious faith by taking advantage of this incident. At present, the case of donation theft is being investigated by the Special Investigation Team (SIT). Further action will be decided on the basis of investigation report and legal process.
