Chef Pakanj shared the video and told what kind of water should be used to boil potatoes. According to him, you should always use normal or cold water to boil potatoes. Because by boiling potatoes in hot or lukewarm water, they get cooked from outside but remain raw from inside.
Eggs will not break with this technique
Often the egg cracks while boiling or the yellow part of the egg comes out. Chef Pankaj explains that this happens because the temperature of the water changes suddenly. Therefore, to boil eggs, you have to first soak them in cold water and then put them on the gas. By doing this, the eggshell will gradually heat up with the temperature of the water and the eggs will boil without breaking.
The right way to boil pasta or noodles
Some people put pasta or noodles in normal water to boil them. But Shep Pakanj says that one should always use open water to boil pasta, macaroni or noodles. This prevents pasta and noodles from sticking together. At the same time, if you put them in cold water then the starch present in it starts sticking together. For this, you should always add salt and a little oil while boiling pasta.
How to boil green vegetables?
Green vegetables are rich in nutrients. In such a situation, it is important to always keep in mind while boiling them that their color and nutrition does not reduce. For this, Chef Pankaj tells that green vegetables should always be added only after the water is hot. Putting vegetables in normal water causes their color to fade. Pankaj says that after boiling the vegetables, immediately put them in cold water. This maintains their natural color.
