Every day is not the same in cricket. Even in the same match, not every moment is the same. If there is a bowler then for him the result of each ball can change the situation. But something happened with the legendary West Indies all-rounder Jason Holder, seeing which anyone would feel pity for him but would also laugh at the same time. Holder, who made the record of taking the highest number of 97 T20 wickets in the year 2025, bowled such a ball during the ILT20 match, which left everyone stunned.
All this happened in the eliminator match between Abu Dhabi Knight Riders and Dubai Capitals. On Thursday, January 1, Abu Dhabi and Dubai were face to face in ILT20. In this match, Knight Riders batted first and scored 158 runs. In response, Dubai had a bad start when Knight Riders captain Holder dismissed opener Toby Albert in the second over of the innings. But in this very over, Holder had to face embarrassment due to one of his balls.
What happened to Jason Holder?
As soon as the ball left the hand of Holder, who was bowling the fifth ball of the same over, it went so high in the air that the batsman kept watching. The ball fell far away from the pitch and far behind, directly near the slip fielder. Holder could not believe that he had made such a mistake. The rest of the Knight Riders players also looked stunned after seeing this scene. But by then something had gone wrong. The umpire declared it a no-ball and due to this Dubai got an extra run as well as a free-hit. Although the batsman could not take advantage of the free-hit and the ball remained empty but he definitely hit a four on the last ball.
“TV Umpire to Director, can we check the height on this one for a No Ball?”

Took the team to Qualifier-2
Despite such a ball, Jason Holder bowled strongly in this match. He took 3 wickets for 18 runs in just 3.2 overs. Out of this, he took the last 2 wickets in consecutive balls and all out Dubai Capitals for just 108 runs. In this way, Knight Riders won the match by a huge margin of 50 runs. Apart from Holder, Sunil Narine and Liam Livingston also took 3 wickets each. With this victory, Knight Riders have reached Qualifier-2, where they will have to face MI Emirates to make it to the finals.
