The Ram Mandir donation controversy has once again come into the center of political discussion. Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh, who participated in the Mahila Congress protest in Bhopal, made many big allegations regarding the Ram Mandir movement, donations and BJP-RSS. He claimed that the real battle of the Ram Mandir movement was fought by saints and maths, while BJP and RSS joined it later. He also announced to go to Ayodhya and file a case in the Ram Mandir donation case.
‘Ram Mandir movement was fought by saints, not by BJP-RSS’
Digvijay Singh said that religious institutions like Hanumangarhi and Gorakhnath Math had led the Ram Mandir movement. According to him, at that time there was neither the role of RSS nor the presence of BJP. He alleged that the money raised in the name of religion was used politically. Digvijay Singh said that he will now take legal action against the alleged misuse of the donation he had given for the construction of Ram temple.
Preparation to go to court regarding Ram temple donation
The Congress leader claimed that no action was taken against some people in the Ram Mandir donation case. He said that the demand for action against Champat Rai and Anil Mishra had been raised earlier also, but no FIR has been registered till now. Digvijay Singh told that on the advice of his lawyer, he will go to Ayodhya on 5th or 6th July and file a case. He says that the alleged misuse of donations given in the name of faith should be investigated and if any irregularities are proved then legal action should be taken against those responsible.
Questions raised on donations to Mahakal Temple
Apart from Ram Temple, Digvijay Singh also raised questions regarding donations to Mahakal Temple in Ujjain. He alleged that it would not be surprising if irregularities in donations come to light there too. However, these allegations of Digvijay Singh are based on his public statement. There may be different reactions to these allegations from the parties concerned. At present, his announcement of going to Ayodhya to file a case regarding the Ram Mandir donation dispute has sparked a new debate in political circles.
