Digvijay Singh said that religious institutions like Hanumangarhi and Gorakhnath Math had led the Ram Mandir movement. According to him, at that time there was neither the role of RSS nor the presence of BJP. He alleged that the money raised in the name of religion was used politically. Digvijay Singh said that he will now take legal action against the alleged misuse of the donation he had given for the construction of Ram temple.

Preparation to go to court regarding Ram temple donation

The Congress leader claimed that no action was taken against some people in the Ram Mandir donation case. He said that the demand for action against Champat Rai and Anil Mishra had been raised earlier also, but no FIR has been registered till now. Digvijay Singh told that on the advice of his lawyer, he will go to Ayodhya on 5th or 6th July and file a case. He says that the alleged misuse of donations given in the name of faith should be investigated and if any irregularities are proved then legal action should be taken against those responsible.

Apart from Ram Temple, Digvijay Singh also raised questions regarding donations to Mahakal Temple in Ujjain.
