Story of Ganesha’s marriage
Ganesh ji was married to Brahmaji’s two Manas daughters Riddhi and Siddhi. According to a legend, Ganeshji was not willing to marry him due to his elephant’s head and unique texture, due to which there was difficulty in finding a qualified girl. Due to which he used to disturb the marriage of other gods.
Ganesha used to get angry many times due to this reason. Brahmaji sent his daughters Riddhi and Siddhi to Ganeshji. Riddhi and Siddhi together educated Ganesha and pacified their anger. Whenever both the daughters of Brahmaji got the news of someone’s marriage, both of them diverted the attention of Ganesh ji.
In this way, the marriages of safe gods started to be done. One day in front of Ganesha, Brahma ji proposed marriage with his daughters Riddhi-Siddhi. This proposal was accepted by Ganesh ji and then the marriage of Riddhi and Siddhi with Lord Ganesha was completed. Ganesha also had two sons named auspicious and benefits from this marriage.
