The political turmoil over the voter list has intensified in Uttar Pradesh. After the implementation of SIR (Special Intensive Revision) in the state, Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav has made a scathing attack on Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath over the reduction in the number of voters. Akhilesh Yadav alleges that the names of a large number of voters have been removed in the name of SIR, due to which questions are being raised on the democratic process. He has called it a serious issue related to people’s rights and has sought answers from the Yogi government.
