BMW had increased prices by up to three percent in September 2025. Now, another hike has come into effect from January 1, 2026. The company has cited the increasing material and logistics expenses as well as the weakness of the Indian rupee as the reasons for this. This change will be applicable to both CKD and CBU models. The 3% increase will see the price of the 3 Series increase by ₹1.81 lakh to ₹1.85 lakh.

Mercedes-Benz has increased the ex-showroom prices of all its models by up to 2% from January 1. The company has cited input and logistics costs as well as unfavorable Euro-Rupee exchange rate as the reason behind this. Mercedes is also considering quarterly changes to better handle currency fluctuations.

BYD

BYD has increased the price of Sealion 7 from January 1, 2026. Customers who book before December 31 will get the car at the old price only. The company has not given the reason for this change or the exact information about the increase.

MG has increased prices by up to 2% from January 1, 2026. The company says this change is due to rising input, production costs and broader macro-economic pressures. This increase will be applicable to all petrol, diesel and electric models. The price of MG Windsor EV is expected to increase by Rs 30,000 to Rs 37,000, taking its ex-showroom price to Rs 14.27 lakh to Rs 18.76 lakh. The price of Comet EV may increase by Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000.

Nissan

Nissan has increased prices by up to 3% from January 2026. The announcement comes ahead of the launch of the Gravit compact MPV, which is expected to hit showrooms by March 2026. Earlier this year, the price of Nissan Magnite was reduced by Rs 52,000 to Rs 1 lakh due to lower GST rates. Currently its price is between ₹ 5.62 lakh to ₹ 10.76 lakh. The price is expected to increase from Rs 17,000 to Rs 32,000 from January.

Honda Cars

Honda has also increased the prices of its cars from January 2026. The company says that this increase is due to the pressure of continuously increasing input costs. However, the company has not yet told how much the prices will increase.

Renault

Renault has increased the prices of its cars by up to two percent from January 1, 2026. This increase will be different for Kwid, Triber and Kiger. After the changes, the Kwid is expected to be priced around Rs 4.38 lakh to Rs 6 lakh, the Triber between Rs 5.88 lakh to Rs 8.55 lakh and the Kiger around Rs 5.88 lakh to Rs 10.54 lakh.
