According to the Disaster Management Department, 93 people have lost their lives since the beginning of the monsoon season. Out of these, 46 people have been killed by drowning or flowing in water, 24 people have been killed in lightning and other accidents. The state government has announced a compensation of four lakh rupees to the families of the deceased.

School closed in Jaipur, Alwar, Dausa, Nagaur

In view of the three -day holiday in Tonk, the government has issued orders to close schools in 19 districts in view of continuous rain and the warning of the Meteorological Department. Schools in Jaipur, Alwar, Dausa, Nagaur and Didwana-Kuchaman will remain closed for two days, while the situation in Tonk district has been declared a holiday till August 27.

Rajasthan Meteorological Alert

Today there is an orange alert in Sirohi, Rajsamand and Udaipur, while Yellow alert has been issued in 13 districts. On Sunday, Nagaur recorded 173 mm of rainfall, which is the largest figure of this season.
