The film combines ancient Vishnu temples, mysterious rituals and the search for hidden treasures from two different time periods. Starring actors like Virat Karna, Nabha Natesh, Jagapathi Babu and Rishabh Sahni, the film offers a balanced mix of action, emotion and mystery. Although its length feels a bit long, its story and visual scale try to keep the audience engaged till the end.
What is the story of ‘Nagabandham’?
The film begins in the year 1953, when a research team of the Indian Archaeological Department searches for a secret hidden in a mysterious cave. Meanwhile, a mysterious tree captures one member of the team, while the other member escapes with an ancient book related to Nagabandham. It is gradually revealed that this tree is actually the prison of a powerful Bairagi Sadhu, who seeks liberation by attaining the Brahmakamal. On the other hand, the life of a city-based man named Rudra changes when a bloody attack takes place during his sister’s wedding and his family is ruined. After this, the story connects to the year 1747, where the conflict that started over Brahmakamal and Nagabandham reaches the present. This journey of mystery, temple and treasure progresses with many big twists.

Although there is no song that sticks in your mind long after the movie is over, the background music adds to the atmosphere of the story. Technically ‘Nagabandham’ is a very strong film. The stunning cinematography, grand temple sets, impressive VFX, large-scale action sequences, superb production design and strong costumes and art direction are testament to its strong technical front.
