Do this preparation before worship
Take a bath on the day of fasting and wear clean and traditional clothes. Clean the house for worship. Start worship in auspicious time. This fast is nirjala, that is, water is not drunk all day and night. Make a pavilion with banana leaves at the place of worship. Install a statue of Shiva-Parvati and Ganesh ji made of clay. First of all worship Ganesha. Then take a bath to Shiva-Parvati and offer new clothes and makeup. Include Belpatra, Dhatura, Suhag objects, flowers, fruits and sweets in the puja material. Take the resolution of Nirjala fast and worship Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva. After reading the story and perform the fast, complete the fast. Practice the fast the next day only after sunrise.
