Directed by Sriram Raghavan, Ikkis is a biopic war drama based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetrapal, who was awarded the Param Vir Chakra for his bravery during the Battle of Basantar in the 1971 India-Pakistan War. The title of the film refers to the age, 21 years, at which Arun Khetrapal was martyred. Agastya Nanda has played this character, while Simar Bhatia has appeared in the role of Kiran. Dharmendra plays Brigadier ML Khetrapal (retd), Arun’s father, in what turns out to be an emotional and symbolic performance. Jaideep Ahlawat, Suhasini Mulay, Sikandar Kher, Rahul Dev, Vivaan Shah are in important roles in the film.
