In the Nesta Report 2025, Uttar Pradesh has made a major achievement in digital good governance. 929 e-services, 59 out of 59 essential services implemented, faceless and time bound service delivery through Nivesh Mitra and e-District, Yogi government’s model was successful.
Uttar Pradesh, which was once known for long files, offices and waiting for months, has now created a new identity for digital good governance. The National e-Governance Service Delivery Assessment (NESDA) 2025 report shows that under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state has made a historic change in the administrative functioning by making technology a strong basis of governance. Despite the large administrative structure and huge population, Uttar Pradesh has taken such a leap in digital governance, which has placed it in the ranks of the leading states of the country.
According to the Nesta report, a total of 23,934 e-services are being provided across the country, out of which Uttar Pradesh alone has a share of 929 digital services. This figure shows the strong digital capacity of the state. The special thing is that Uttar Pradesh has achieved 100 percent achievement in the matter of mandatory e-services. Out of total 59, all 59 mandatory e-services have been implemented in the state, which makes clear the government’s commitment towards digital governance.

Completeness in essential services, increased confidence of citizens
The Nesta report also revealed that Uttar Pradesh has successfully implemented citizen centric services on faceless and time bound delivery model. This has not only increased transparency but also strengthened the trust of common citizens on government services. Services like certificates, pensions, scholarships and registrations are now available on digital platforms in a timely manner.
Strong performance in local services also
8,463 e-services are operating across the country in the field of local governance and utility services. Uttar Pradesh has also made significant progress in this sector. Services like caste, income and residence certificate, birth-death registration, pension and scholarship are now available in just a few clicks. This has directly benefited citizens of both rural and urban areas and reduced administrative dependency.
Service delivery made easier through integrated portal
Uttar Pradesh’s position is also considered strong on the front of integrated service delivery portal. According to the report, about 88 percent of the state’s e-services are available on the integrated portal. On platforms like ‘Nivesh Mitra’ and ‘e-District’, more than 822 services are available to citizens and investors at one place. This has promoted ease of doing business and made the investment process simpler than before.
Increase of 129 new e-services in one year
The continuous improvement in digital governance is also evidenced by the increase in the number of e-services. About 800 e-services were available in the state in November 2024, which will increase to 929 by November 2025. This increase is believed to be a direct result of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s continuous monitoring and administrative reforms.
UP also ahead in complaint redressal system
Uttar Pradesh has also been praised in the Nesta report for its public grievance redressal system. According to the report, 33 states and union territories of the country have achieved perfection in this category, in which Uttar Pradesh is prominently included. This makes it clear that the government is not only providing services but is also listening and resolving the complaints of the citizens effectively through digital medium.
Strong model of digital governance
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s governance model is based on faceless, paperless and time bound governance. Data from the Nesta 2025 report confirms the success of this model. Uttar Pradesh has today become an example for other states in the field of digital governance and is continuously moving towards establishing itself as the digital engine of the new India.
