Iran US War Survey: What opinion did the American public give on Trump’s policy regarding the Iran war? In the survey of which major American media organizations, concern was expressed about the Iran war? Is there a possibility of terrorist threat increasing in America due to Iran war?

The ongoing tension between Iran and America is no longer limited to just the battlefield. Its echo seems to be getting louder within America also. In recent days, several major surveys released by American media organizations have indicated that a large number of American citizens are not satisfied with their President’s policy and decisions regarding Iran. Not only this, some surveys have also expressed apprehension that due to this war, the terrorist threat within America may increase.

These surveys have sparked a new debate in American politics. While on one hand the White House is calling its strategy strong, on the other hand a large section of the American public is raising questions about this entire action.

Situation did not change even after attack on Iran

On February 28, America, along with Israel, launched a major military attack on Iran. In this action, the news of the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was revealed. It was believed that after this attack, Iran’s ruling system would weaken and major political changes could be seen there.

But the situation did not change as expected. There was neither a coup in Iran nor was the government there completely weakened. On the contrary, now reports of agreements and talks between the two countries to reduce tension are emerging.

What came out in the four big surveys?

Recently, big media organizations like New York Times, ABC, CNN and Pew Research conducted surveys to know the opinion of American citizens regarding the Iran war. Different figures came out in all these surveys, but one thing remained almost the same that a large number of people are apprehensive about the direction of this war and American policy.

1. New York Times-Siena Survey

50 percent of the people involved in this survey believed that Iran’s nuclear program cannot be ended only through military pressure or attacks. Only 22 percent people believed that this goal could be achieved through military power.

52 percent of the people surveyed said that the war should be ended even without any major agreement so that the situation does not worsen further.

2. Washington Post-ABC and Pew Research Survey

In a joint survey by The Washington Post and ABC, 69 percent of people believed that despite the agreement, Iran can secretly continue its nuclear program. People said that America would not be successful in stopping Iran completely.

Similarly, in the Pew Research survey, almost two-thirds of the people said that America will not be able to achieve its stated objectives in Iran.

3. Increased concern about the threat of terrorism

In ABC’s survey, 61 percent people believed that the threat of terrorism against Americans could increase after the Iran war. At the same time, 49 percent people said that this conflict could make the situation in the Middle East more unstable.

About 56 percent people also believed that America’s relations with other countries could weaken due to this war.

4. Questions on Trump’s policy in CNN survey

In a recent CNN survey, 59 percent people said that President Trump will not be able to take the right decisions regarding Iran. Only 22 percent people expressed confidence in his decisions.

These figures show that a large section of the American public is in a state of confusion and worry about this war.

Trump angry at American media

After these survey reports came out, President Trump reacted sharply to the American media. He wrote on social media that even if Iran surrenders completely, the American media will not call it a victory for America.

Trump attacked opposition Democratic leaders and media organizations, calling them “disoriented” and even “crazy.” He says that the media is deliberately trying to show his foreign policy as weak.

Now there is debate on strategy rather than war.

Experts believe that after the military action against Iran, the real debate within America is now more about its strategy and consequences than the war. The question is whether continued military pressure can actually stop Iran’s nuclear program or will it further increase instability in the region.

Along with this, concerns are also increasing regarding terrorism, global relations and the security of the Middle East. If the talks between America and Iran move forward in the coming days, it will be important to see whether the tension between the two countries reduces or the situation goes in a more serious direction.
