Ayodhya Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha Anniversary: Ramnagari Ayodhya is once again immersed in the same joy and devotion as was seen two years ago on 22 January 2024. On the occasion of the second anniversary of Ramlala’s death, the entire Ayodhya has become Rammay. The confluence of Pratistha Dwadashi and English New Year has doubled the enthusiasm of the devotees. Saffron flags are fluttering all around, deafening shouts of Jai Shri Ram are echoing and long queues are forming to visit the temples. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will also be present today on the completion of two years of the consecration of Ram Temple.

Why is celebration celebrated on 31st December?

Even though the grand Pran Pratishtha took place on 22 January 2024, but according to the calendar, its anniversary is celebrated on Paush Shukla Dwadashi. This year this date falls on 31 December 2025. This is the reason why grand religious and cultural events are going on in Ayodhya from 29 December 2025 to 2 January 2026 on the second anniversary of Ramlala’s enthronement.

Veterans will participate in the main event

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will participate in the main event of Pratistha Dwadashi. Under the program, the Defense Minister will hoist the flag at the Annapurna Temple located in the Ram Temple complex. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will also participate in various religious rituals and address the devotees.

These events include programs like puja-archana, havan, bhajan-kirtan, Ram Katha, Ramlila, recitation of Ramcharitmanas and Kavi Sammelan. The festival of devotion is spread from Ram temple complex to Angad Tila.

Along with Ram Janmabhoomi temple, huge crowd of devotees are gathering for darshan at Hanumangarhi, Kanak Bhawan and other major temples. Devotees are standing in queue for hours to have darshan of Lord Ram and Bajrangbali. The entire atmosphere is filled with spiritual energy with lamps, bhajans and chanting of Ramnaam.

In view of the presence of VVIP and the arrival of lakhs of devotees, extensive security arrangements have been made in Ayodhya. Police and security forces have been deployed by dividing the city into several zones. Monitoring is being done with drones and CCTV cameras so that there is no problem of any kind.

The second anniversary of the consecration of Ram Temple has become not just a religious event, but a grand celebration of faith, culture and Indian traditions. This flood of devotion in Ayodhya on the auspicious occasion of New Year welcome and Pratistha Dwadashi is once again giving the message that Ramnagari is not only a religious center but also a living symbol of India’s spiritual consciousness.
