Himachal Pradesh Heavy Rainfall: Himachal Pradesh is suffering from monsoon hit this time. Mandi and Kullu districts have been the most affected, where a total of 313 roads have been closed due to landslides and heavy rains. Major highways like Kiratpur-Nerchowk have stalled traffic due to heavy debris freezing and there is a long jam. Travelers have increased difficulties due to trucks being trapped and affecting the National Highway 305 (Aut-Sainge route). Due to the landslide, the back of a truck was buried in the rubble, which shows the seriousness of the disaster.

Even after the warning of the local Meteorological Department, the process of rain continues. From Friday to Sunday, areas like Nadaun, Neri, Jogindernagar have received heavy rains. The monsoon, which has come since June 20, has killed more than 152 people in the state and 37 people are still missing. So far, there have been incidents of sudden floods, 40 times cloudburst and 74 big landslides. Also, obstacles in electricity and water supply have also arisen. Government agencies have confirmed the economic loss of about Rs 2,347 crore from this natural disaster.

Painful stories of flood affected families: Life with blankets and tarpaulin
Talking about Ganvi area of Shimla district, the sudden flood there destroyed the settlements. Even after nine days have passed, only one blanket and tarpaulin received from the affected family administration is running life under compulsion. Local people like Pooja and Vimala Devi are saying, “How do we live? Our houses are drowned in water and we did not get any proper help.” Changing the attitude of Ganvi drain, many houses were submerged, causing people to take shelter with relatives. Local resident Ramswaroop Khaush said that roads and bridges were broken after the flood, but despite the passage of nine days, there was no concrete help from the government.
