Lucknow. The year 2025 proved to be a year of policy, decisions and concrete results for Uttar Pradesh. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the government took many such historic and far-reaching decisions, whose direct benefits reached farmers, youth, women, workers, teachers and deprived sections.
From agriculture to industry, education to employment and social security to investment, the decisions of the Yogi government gave a new direction to the economy and public welfare of the state. Due to strong willpower and public interest-centric thinking, the decisions of 2025 became a strong foundation for the development of Uttar Pradesh.
Teacher Welfare: Cashless treatment facility to 9 lakh teachers
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath made a historic announcement to provide cashless treatment facility to about 9 lakh teachers of the state. Basic, secondary, higher education teachers, Shikshamitras, instructors and cooks are also included in this scheme. This has provided great health protection to teachers and their families.
Employee Benefits: Service Corporation for Outsourced Employees
Uttar Pradesh Outsource Seva Nigam Limited was formed to eliminate exploitation of outsourced employees. Under this, transparent recruitment, timely salary, EPF-ESI, minimum honorarium of Rs 16 to 20 thousand and employment security were ensured.
Farmer Welfare: Loans to small-marginal farmers at 6% interest
Mukhyamantri Krishak Samridhi Yojana was started under the International Cooperation Year 2025. Now small and marginal farmers will get loans at only 6% interest rate through UP Cooperative Gram Vikas Bank. Earlier this rate was 11.50%. The remaining interest amount will be borne by the state government.
Relief to sugarcane farmers: Price increased by Rs 30 per quintal
A record increase of Rs 30 per quintal was made in the sugarcane price for the crushing season 2025-26.
- Early sugarcane: Rs 400
- General: Rs 390
- Unsuitable species: Rs 355
This directly increased the income of lakhs of sugarcane farmers.
Youth Employment: Historic Police Recruitment in UP
Historic recruitment of 60,244 police constables was done in Uttar Pradesh. More than 12,000 women were selected in this recruitment. It was included in the country’s largest and transparent recruitments and was considered a big step towards a safe Uttar Pradesh.
Developed UP Vision: ‘Samarth Uttar Pradesh-Developed Uttar Pradesh @2047’
‘Samarth Uttar Pradesh-Developed Uttar Pradesh @2047’ mega campaign was started for the overall development of the state. Suggestions are being taken from the public on education, health, agriculture and urban-rural development through ‘Samarth Uttar Pradesh Portal’.
Women Empowerment: 1% additional discount in registry fee
Women given additional 1% relaxation in property registry fees. This facility has now been extended to assets worth Rs 10 lakh to Rs 1 crore, which will enable women to save a maximum of Rs 1 lakh.
Agniveer Rehabilitation: 20% reservation in UP Police and PAC
It was decided to give 20% reservation in UP Police and PAC recruitment for the rehabilitation of firefighters after serving the country, thereby securing the future of the youth.
Relief for poor daughters: Double grant in mass marriage scheme
Under the Chief Minister Group Marriage Scheme, the grant amount was increased from Rs 51 thousand to Rs 1 lakh. Also, the income limit was increased to Rs 3 lakh, which benefited thousands of poor families.
Cabinet meeting at Mahakumbh: Historic initiative
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath started a new tradition by holding a cabinet meeting in Mahakumbh city. After the meeting, the entire cabinet took the Sangam bath, which became a symbol of coordination of administration and faith.
Facility for the elderly: Old age pension linked to family ID
It was decided to link the old age pension scheme with the family ID. The pension will automatically reach the account as soon as you complete 60 years of age. No application will be required for this. The pilot project will be started in five districts.

Rani Laxmibai Scooty Scheme was announced in the 2025 budget, under which meritorious girl students will get free scooty.
Employment Mission: Path to employment in India and abroad
Uttar Pradesh Employment Mission was formed to provide employment to the youth at national and international level.
Relief to flower farmers: exemption from market fees
Flowers were given complete exemption from market fees by keeping them in the category of non-specified agricultural product, due to which small farmers got huge benefits.
Formation of Kashi-Vindhya Development Authority
Kashi-Vindhya Regional Development Authority (KVRDA) was created on the lines of SCR, which includes 7 districts. Its objective is to promote tourism, industry and connectivity.
Historic decision for nomadic tribes
It was decided to provide separate board, housing, colony and connection with all government schemes for nomadic and liberated castes. Participation in the mainstream including police recruitment was ensured.
Increase in wages of agricultural workers
The minimum wage of agricultural workers was increased to Rs 252 per day / Rs 6552 per month, which improved the rural living standards.
