Test XI, Cricket Australia: Cricket Australia has selected the playing eleven of the best Test players in the year 2025. He has neither given place to Pat Cummins nor Steve Smith in his team. Whereas both these players are two strong pillars of Australia’s Test team. Pat Cummins is also the captain. Whereas Steve Smith is the most brilliant batsman of the team, who also took over the reins of captaincy of the team when needed in the year 2025. But both Cummins and Smith are out of Cricket Australia’s Test XI for 2025.

Cummins- Not Smith, he got a chance

However, the players who have got the maximum number of places in Cricket Australia’s best playing eleven for the Test of 2025 are Australians. But Cummins and Smith are not among them. Cricket Australia has selected a total of 4 Australian players in the Test XI of 2025, which include Mitchell Starc, Travis Head, Alex Carey and Scott Boland.

3 Indian players included in Test XI

Apart from the Australians, three players from India have got a place in Cricket Australia’s Test XI. From India, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill and Jasprit Bumrah have confirmed their places. Apart from these, Ravindra Jadeja has been made the 12th player of the team.

Temba Bavuma made captain

Cricket Australia has selected 2 players each from England and South Africa in its Test XI for the year 2025. Joe Root and Ben Stokes made it to England. Apart from South Africa’s Test captain Temba Bavuma, spinner Simon Harmer has got a place.

Whose role is what in the team?

Cricket Australia has made Temba Bavuma the captain of its Test XI. Whereas KL Rahul and Travis Head have been given the responsibility of opening. He gave Joe Root the number 3 position while Shubman Gill was given the number 4 position in his Test XI. Apart from this, Starc, Bumrah and Boland will be the captains of pace attack in that team. Cricket Australia has included only one spinner in the team.
