Yogini Ekadashi Fast 2026: On the Ekadashi date of Krishna and Shukla Paksha of every month, a fast is observed dedicated to Lord Shri Hari Vishnu, the sustainer of the world. This is called Ekadashi fast. There are 24 Ekadashi fasts in a year and 26 in Adhikamas. - According to the Vedic calendar, Ashadh Krishna Ekadashi Tithi will start on Friday, July 10, 2026 at 8:16 am.
- At the same time, this date will end on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 05:22 am.
Hari Vasar will end on July 11 at 10:32 am. For this reason, this year the fast of Yogini Ekadashi will be observed for two days. On July 10, 2026 (Friday), householders will observe Yogini Ekadashi fast. Devotees of Vaishnav sect will observe this fast on 11 July 2026 (Saturday).
Religious significance of Yogini Ekadashi
Yogini Ekadashi is one of the most virtuous Ekadashis for receiving the blessings of Lord Vishnu. According to religious texts, those who observe this fast with devotion and regularly, all their sins committed knowingly or unknowingly are destroyed. The virtue of this fast is considered equivalent to feeding 88 thousand Brahmins. It is also said that this fast provides relief from long-term illness, mental stress or difficulties of life.
