Raipur News: Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium of the capital Raipur has been filled with colors of the rich folk tradition of Chhattisgarh this time. On the occasion of Teeja-Pora Tihar, the auditorium courtyard is scattered by Nandia-Baila, traditional toys, colorful Vandanwar and Chhattisgarhi decoration and spreading amazing shade.

The preparations for this special event to be held on August 24 on the occasion of Chhattisgarh Silver Festival under the guidance of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Rajwade have almost been completed. There will be participation of about 3 thousand women in Teeja-Pora Tihar, including beneficiaries of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, women self-help groups and mitanins.
Competition related to folk traditions for women
On this occasion, worship of Shiva -Parvati, Nandia Bella and agricultural implements will be completed. Competitions related to folk traditions for women such as Fugdi, Jalebi race, lemon, spoon race and tug of war will be organized. At the same time, attractive stalls of mehndi, bangle and alata will also become a special attraction of celebration. Special gifts will also be provided to women during the program and the flavor of Chhattisgarhi cuisine will also be included in it.
