CM Yogi Kalyan Mandapam: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath provided cheap and respectable facilities for poor and middle class families in the state. Now Kalyan Mandapam will be easily booked for marriage and social programs at a fee of Rs 11,000.
Up kalyan mandapam scheme: Poor and middle class families often have the biggest concern in marriage and social events, “Where will the program be and how much will be spent?” Now this concern is going to be reduced. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken a unique initiative of Kalyan Mandapam under the “Mukhyamantri Nagar Creation Scheme”, so that the families will be able to do their Manglik work with pomp even at low cost.
Why is the initiative of Kalyan Mandapam special?
Instead of spending lakhs of rupees in expensive banquet halls and hotels, people will now get cheap and respectable facilities at the government level. Kalyan Mandapam has all the necessary facilities like hall, kitchen, changing room and toilets. The fee for an event is only Rs 11,000. Whereas, usually families have to pay from 50 thousand to one lakh rupees for such facilities.

How many mandapam have become and how many under construction?
The government has so far approved Rs 260 crore to 66 Kalyan Mandapam projects.
- Of these, 39 mandapams have been prepared.
- 27 mandapams are under construction, which will soon be dedicated to the public.
In Gorakhpur on Saturday, the Chief Minister inaugurated two Kalyan Mandapam built in Manbela and Raptinagar Extension Scheme. CM Yogi also contributed to his MLA fund in the construction of Mandapam of Manbella.
Booking will now be easy and transparent
The government has also prepared a special online portal to make the booking process simple and transparent. People will now be able to book on the basis of ‘first come first serve’ sitting at home.
In which districts have Mandapams built?
Kalyan Mandapam, who so far, are facing people in many districts including Aligarh, Ambedkarnagar, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Basti, Farrukhabad, Fatehpur, Firozabad, Gorakhpur, Lucknow, Maharajganj, Mau, Pilibhit, Pratapgarh, Sonbhadra, Sultanpur, Unnao.
Where are the new mandapam being built?
The list of Mandapam under construction is also long. These projects are being completed rapidly in many districts including Agra, Aligarh, Bhadohi, Bahraich, Ballia, Barabanki, Bijnor, Bulandshahr, Deoria, Gorakhpur (Campierganj), Jaunpur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Mathura, Prayagraj, Rampur, Siddharthnagar, Varanasi.
Why was relief for poor and weaker sections?
Due to financial constraints, many times the families are forced to deal with their social and family programs with simplicity. Kalyan Mandapam is an attempt to lighten this burden. With this, the families of the weaker sections will also be able to organize themselves with dignity and respect.
