World Bank’s heart is on this state, it will give money equal to last 50 years in next 5 years

A big example of this is the recent announcement made by the World Bank. The World Bank will provide financial assistance to Haryana in the next five years equal to the financial assistance it received in the last 50 years.

World Bank made this announcement

World Bank India Director Auguste Tano Koume gave this information on Friday. He discussed various sectors including education, air quality management and transport during a meeting with state Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and government representatives here. The World Bank team held a separate meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann here. World Bank officials said that we have a long history of association in Haryana. We have been providing financing to Haryana since 1971. We have supported sectors like power, energy, water.

Why is the World Bank helping Haryana?

He said that we have given financing of one billion dollars to Haryana in the last 50 years. Regarding the upcoming financing, Koum said that we will give the same amount of financing in the next five years as we have given in the last 50 years. I am very excited that we can help Haryana play a bigger role in making India developed by 2047.

He said that apart from the $1 billion given directly to Haryana as loan, the state has also benefited from pan-India projects financed by the World Bank. Saini said in a statement that the state will soon become a global artificial intelligence (AI) center with the help of the World Bank.
