A sensational case has come to light in Bundi, Rajasthan. Here a woman was allegedly declared a witch, tied to a tree and burnt with hot rods. The woman’s hair was cut and her face was also blackened. The accused said that he was possessed by an ‘evil spirit’. The victim woman complained to the police and informed about the incident. Police have registered a case against self-styled exorcist and his two associates.
The place where the female victim was tortured is said to be the place of worship of a local deity. Here the victim was kept tied to a tree for two days. The woman had stomach pain. Some people said that he was possessed by an evil spirit. The family took him to a self-proclaimed exorcist. Here she was tortured by calling her a witch. The police have got the woman medically examined. The search for the accused is on.
Stomach ache, said to be haunted by evil spirit
The matter is of Gudagokulpura village of Hindoli police station area of Bundi district. Here Nandubai Meena, a resident of Shahpur, was declared a witch and beaten up. The victim told the police that she had stomach pain. He also took a lot of medicine but did not get relief. Someone in the village told that he was possessed by some spirit. He was advised to go to Babulal Ojha in Gudagokulpura village for treatment. The family took him to the exorcist.
Bars stained by tying them to a tree
The victim told that there she was called a witch. He was tied to a tree and tortured by Ojha Babulal and his associates. According to the police, the accused tied the woman to a tree, cut her hair, blackened her face and tortured her with hot iron rods for two days to allegedly free her from the evil spirit. He was subjected to inhuman torture for two days. The Superintendent of Police said that a case has been registered against the accused on the complaint of the woman.
