Russia-Akraine War: Russia said on Saturday that its army has captured two settlements in Ukraine’s Donnetsk region. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, in the last 24 hours, his army attacked 143 bases in Ukraine. These locations also included Ukrainian soldiers and foreign fighters. The ministry also said that Russian Air Raksha destroyed four Ukraine aerial bombs and around 160 drones last week.
America warns Russia
The incident occurred at a time when efforts are on to negotiate between Russia and Ukraine in America’s mediation. Ukraine President Volodimir Jailonsky interacted with South African President Cyril Ramposa and said he was ready to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin. Jailonsky told in a social media post that he informed Ramposa about the meetings held with US President Donald Trump in Washington.

America’s warning
Meanwhile, President Donald Trump has warned Russia that if there is no progress towards peace in Ukraine within two weeks, new restrictions will be imposed on Russia. Despite the warm meeting of Putin and Trump in Alaska recently, there is an atmosphere of disappointment in Moscow. Russian External Affairs Minister Sergei Lavarov said that no agenda is yet to be fixed for a possible summit between Putin and Jailonski.
