Bishnoi community is known for protecting animals. There is a cowshed named after the founder of the society, Jagadguru Jambheshwar Maharaj, which has more than 250 blind cows. All these cows were rescued by All India Bishnoi Mahasabha. They are well taken care of. This cow has started understanding things by living in the cowshed. They may not be able to see well with their eyes but they recognize every person and vehicle passing by. They can identify their own and strangers by human voices.
This cowshed with unique features is in Mukam village located in Nokha tehsil of Bikaner. This is the same village where the Samadhi place of Jagadguru Jambheshwar Maharaj is located, which is also known as Muktidham Muqam. Here All India Bishnoi Mahasabha takes care of the cow shed. This Gaushala was built in 1999 for the care and accommodation of destitute cows. There are more than 1700 cows in the cow shed. Among these, there are hundreds of cows who are sick and disabled. They are treated here.

More than 250 cows in the cowshed are blind. 24 people are engaged to take care of them. They are given food and water on time. Among these, there are many cows who have been blind since childhood and their owners left them in the cow shed after the birth of their calves.
