Shivpuri: Dispute over farm water, Sarpanch beats Dalit youth to death

In Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh, the Sarpanch and his family members beat a Dalit youth to death. The dispute started over watering the fields, which quickly led to death. A video of the incident is also going viral on social media, in which the powerful Sarpanch along with his family members is seen beating the young man by throwing him on the ground. The police have registered an FIR against the accused and started investigating the case.

In Indergarh village under Subhashpura police station of Shivpuri district, the Sarpanch of Subhashpura and his men brutally killed a young man. Vishnu Jatav (27), resident of Gwalior, had come to his maternal uncle’s place. Meanwhile, on November 26, he was watering the fields. While watering the field, suddenly Sarpanch Padam Singh Dhakad and his family members Betal Dhakad, Jaswant Dhakad, Awadhesh Dhakad, Ankesh Dhakad, Mohar Pal Dhakad, Dakha Bai Dhakad and Vimal Dhakad also reach the farm of the deceased’s maternal uncle.

Young man died during treatment

The Sarpanch and his family members first abuse the young man. At the same time, when even this does not fill his stomach, he beats the young man badly with sticks. As soon as the young man’s family members got information about the incident, he hurriedly took him to Shivpuri Medical College, where he died late in the night during treatment. Since the incident, the victim’s family is in bad condition and crying. At the same time, the family members are demanding the strictest punishment against the accused.

FIR being registered against eight people including Sarpanch

Giving information about the case, Subhashpura police station in-charge Kripal Singh Rathore said that on the basis of the complaint of the relatives of the deceased, a case is being registered against the sarpanch and his eight family members under sections of murder. Soon all the accused will be arrested.
