CP Joshi had won his last election by about 16 thousand votes, but he lost the 2023 election to BJP candidate Vishvaraj Singh.

BJP candidate Vishvaraj Singh defeated Congress’s CP Joshi by a margin of 7504 votes. At the same time, it is said that Vishvaraj Singh had worked hard for her husband in the 2023 assembly elections. Vishwaraj Singh’s wife Mahima Kumari is Lok Sabha MP from Rajsamand. Wife Mahima Kumari is very active in politics. Whereas, if we talk about Vishvaraj Singh, he was born on 8 May 1969, just a day before the birth anniversary of Maharana Pratap.

Vishwaraj Singh’s father has also been an MP

He completed his education with a bachelor’s degree in Economics from St. Xavier’s, Mumbai. His father Maharana Mahendra Singh Mewar has also contested the Lok Sabha elections. His father had contested elections from BJP in 1989 and was elected Lok Sabha member from Chittorgarh. Later his father Mahendra Singh Mewar joined Congress.
