Under the new policy, the government has announced direct financial assistance on different categories of vehicles. Also, road tax and registration fees have been completely waived off on EVs priced below Rs 30 lakh.

How much subsidy will be given on two-wheeler, three-wheeler and N1 vehicles?

CM Rekha Gupta said in a video, “Today the gazette of Delhi’s new EV policy has been notified. From today onwards, whoever buys an EV two-wheeler will get a subsidy of Rs 30,000 from the government. There will be a subsidy of Rs 50,000 on three-wheelers and on N1 vehicles, commonly called ‘small elephants’, the government has approved a subsidy of Rs 1 lakh. Is.”

Will petrol vehicles be stopped? Chief Minister Rekha Gupta made a big disclosure

On the ongoing concerns regarding the existing petrol vehicles, the Chief Minister clarified that there is no immediate ban on the vehicles currently running. However, he also laid out a clear roadmap to gradually phase out the registration of new petrol vehicles in the two-wheeler and three-wheeler segments.

He explained, “Many people are saying that petrol vehicles will be discontinued. No! If you have a petrol vehicle, you can drive it without any restrictions till its validity ends. But, registration of new petrol three-wheelers will be stopped from January 2027. Registration of new petrol two-wheelers will not be possible from April 2028. Those who already have them can drive them comfortably.”
