Premier League: Johnson, Palhinha score as Thomas Frank’s Tottenham stun Manchester City

New Delhi: Tottenham Hotspur thrashed Manchester City 2-0 at the Etihad on Saturday to bag their second win in a row under new manager Thomas Frank in the Premier League 2025-26 season. Spurs were arguably the better of the two sides as they delivered a magnificent performance, bursting with desire and character to stun Pep Guardiola’s City in their own backyard.

Spurs also recorded their second straight Premier League victory against City at the Etihad, having won 4-0 in their last outing at the stadium under former manager Ange Postecoglou last season. Brennan Johnson and Joao Palhinha scored in the first half to give Spurs a 2-0 lead, which helped them secure a comfortable victory in the end.
