Kannauj Perfume Tourism: Uttar Pradesh made a special identity at the IATO conference in Puri. Initiates like Kannauj’s perfume, Ayodhya Deepotsav, Kashi Vishwanath Dham and Eco-Turism are important steps towards making UP the most diverse tourist destination in India.

Uttar pradesh tourism: The 40th annual conference of the Indian Tourism Operator Association (IATO) in Puri, Odisha was named after Uttar Pradesh this time. The theme of the conference was “Rejuvenate Inbound @2030”, but the real center of discussion became UP tourism. The hundreds of years old perfume tradition of Kannauj and the Deepotsav of Ayodhya won the hearts of all the representatives on the first day.

Why is the tourism model of Uttar Pradesh special?

Tourism Minister Jayveer Singh said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, work is being done rapidly towards making Uttar Pradesh the most diverse tourism destination of India. Along with faith and culture, modern tourist models are also being developed here. Religious heritage like Kashi Vishwanath Dham, Shri Ram Temple of Ayodhya, Kumbh of Prayagraj and Mathura-Vrindavan have given UP international identity. Also, special emphasis is being laid on eco-tourism, wellness tourism and perfume tourism.

What new experiences will tourists get?

Mukesh Kumar Meshram, Principal Secretary, Tourism Department, said that UP is no longer limited to showing heritage. Efforts are being made to give tourists complete experience through river tourism, agro tourism and new investment here. Kannauj’s perfume tourism is a prime example of this, which also attracted foreign tour operators who attended the conference.

What issues were discussed in the conference?

On the first day, there was a thorough discussion on Ramayana Circuit, Riverfront of Varanasi and eco-tourism of Dudhwa-Bundelkhand. This made it clear that UP is taking strong steps towards religious heritage as well as sustainable and modern tourism.

What is the target by 2030?

The apparent goal of the Yogi government is that by 2030 Uttar Pradesh became the most diverse and versatile tourism destination in India. The Tourism Minister said that every visiting passenger should not only take memories, but also feel the sense of association with culture and spirituality here. For the next two days, UP tourism will show new opportunities to investors and partners through their programs and presentations. This conference gives the message that Uttar Pradesh is becoming not only of India, but the emerging tourism destination of the world.
