An advisory has been issued by the Department of Telecommunications in Delhi regarding this. If any such wedding card from an unknown person is sent on your WhatsApp, then be careful before opening it. All the money from your account can be withdrawn as soon as you open the wedding card.

Yes, scammers can empty your bank account in a jiffy through this new trick. Hackers can send a hidden APK or any other hacking software file in the PDF format in the wedding card. Through this hacking software your mobile or gadget can be captured.

Department of Telecommunications issued advisory

A new advisory has been issued by the Department of Telecommunications. During the wedding season, people have been asked to be careful before opening invitation cards sent on WhatsApp or other social media platforms. It has been said in the advisory that if you are unaware of that file then do not open it immediately.

It has been told in the advisory that due to a little carelessness, a software can be downloaded hastily on the mobile or gadgets. Scammers are stealing lakhs of rupees from people’s accounts through this new trick. The software to hack the mobile is inserted in the card itself.

Due to this the cards are downloaded and the user’s mobile gets hacked. This is also dangerous because people’s accounts are being emptied even without OTP. It has been said in the advisory that if information about any such fraud is received then complain about it on number 1930.
