Not only normal life has been affected due to air pollution. In fact, due to this, the condition of businessmen has also become worse. Small and medium industries in Delhi and adjacent areas like Punjab and Haryana are facing the brunt of pollution. There has been a huge decline in MSME production in these states of North India. Due to this the supply chain has also been affected. According to the estimates of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, micro, small and medium businesses worth about Rs 35 lakh in Punjab, Haryana and Delhi have been affected due to pollution.
According to the report of ET, the supply is being disrupted due to the restrictions imposed under Grape-4 to control air pollution in Delhi and NCR region. Due to the implementation of Grape-4, there is a ban on the entry of heavy vehicles in Delhi and NCR region, due to which the products manufactured in companies from Haryana and Punjab are not being supplied. Apart from this, due to pollution the health of the workers working in factories is deteriorating. They are not able to work properly, which is also affecting production and supply.
Political attacks begin
There has been fog in the northern region of India i.e. Delhi-NCR for the last few days. AQI has crossed 400 in many areas of Delhi. The reason behind this is believed to be the stubble burnt in Haryana and Punjab and the smoke coming out of vehicles. A lot of politics is also happening on this. The common man government of Delhi is blaming the BJP government of Haryana for the entire matter, while the BJP is blaming the Aam Aadmi Party for this.
Change in office timings
The level of pollution in Delhi is becoming dangerous, due to which the timing of government offices has been changed. Work will take place in Delhi government offices from 10 am to 6.30 pm. At the same time, MCD offices will be open only from 8.30 am to 5 pm.
