SA20 2025-26 Durban Super Giants vs MI Cape Town: The fourth season of the SA20 League got off to a great start at the Newlands ground in Cape Town. In the first match, defending champion MI Cape Town faced Durban Super Giants, where the Durban team won a thrilling victory. In this match, fans got to see a lot of fours and sixes and both the teams together scored 449 runs in the match, which is the second highest record of runs scored in any SA20 match. During this time, the first century of the season was seen from the bat of MI Cape Town opener Ryan Rickleton, but he could not lead the team to victory.
Durban Super Giants put a big score on the board

However, the pressure increased in the last overs. Only 15 runs were scored in the last two overs and three wickets fell. Due to which MI Cape Town team could score only 217 runs at the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs and lost by 15 runs. Durban’s young bowler Ethan Bosch turned the match by taking 4 wickets and Kwena Mafaka also bowled tightly in the last overs. Due to which the Durban Super Giants team, which was at the bottom of the points table last season, started with a win this time.
