As soon as the police arrived, the people present there started running away, but a young man was arrested from the spot.

Police had received information that hookah bar was being run illegally in the concept head quarters located at Mahanagar Sector-B. According to ACP metropolitan Ankit Kumar, the team raided the team under the leadership of Sub -Inspector Anurag Kumar Singh late at the confirmation of the information. During the raid, the police recovered 4 hookah sets, chillams, pipes and flavored tobacco from the spot.

Who was caught and who is suspicious?

During the operation, the police laid siege and arrested a young man, who named his name Sadar Kotwali, Lakhimpur, a resident of Sohail. During interrogation, Sohail revealed that the hookah bar is operated by manager Zeeshan and owner Ankit Verma.

Local people complained

Inspector Metropolitan Akhilesh Kumar Mishra said that there were constant complaints from the local people regarding this hookah bar. People said that there is a crowd here till late night, due to which the atmosphere of the area is being affected.

According to media reports, the police have currently registered a report after taking the accused Sohail into custody. Also, manager Zeeshan and owner Ankit Verma are being searched. Police say that strict action will continue on such illegal trade in the area.
