New Delhi: Blinks, brace yourselves! BLACKPINK’s Rosé is gearing up to drop her first full-length solo album, rosie, on December 6, 2024. The highly-anticipated album promises an emotional and the K-pop idol’s musical journey in the industry.
Well, fans just cannot keep calm as we inch closer to the release date.
Rosé took to social media to share her journey creating the album. “After our year-long tour ended, I found myself in a session in Los Angeles,” she revealed. “That led to a year of walking in and out of studios, writing songs with producers I’d just met, and figuring out the next chapter in my career. Many nights, I fell asleep feeling confused and lost.”
In a heartfelt note, the APT crooner explained the personal significance of the album’s title. “Rosie is the name my close friends and family call me. With this album, I hope you all feel that much closer to me.”
Rosie tracklist
The tracklist for Rosie includes 12 songs: Number One Girl, Game Boy, Toxic ‘Till the End, 3AM, Not The Same, APT., 2 Years, and more. The album is a mix of heartfelt ballads and genre-defying tracks, offering fans a glimpse into Rosé’s personal and artistic evolution. The single APT., which was released on October 18, has already given listeners a taste of what’s to come.
In an interview with PAPER Magazine, Rosé shared how the album captures her experiences as a 20-something navigating life, relationships, and emotions. “I think I’m grateful enough to have gone through a few relationships, like any normal girl in her 20s. I want people to know I’m not much different from your average girlfriend or 23-year-old girl,” she said.
She added, “Your 20s are a rollercoaster of emotions-vulnerability, confusion, excitement, and even anger. That’s what I wanted to sing about.”
