When passengers were talked to at Varanasi Cantt railway station, most of the people expressed dissatisfaction with the decision of the railway administration. Passengers said that the trains are already overcrowded, there is no space to even sit in sleeper coaches and on top of that the fares have been increased. According to passengers, waiting tickets are not being confirmed, due to which those traveling long distances are facing the most problems.
Passengers alleged that the condition of sleeper coaches has now become like that of general coaches. Passengers without reservation are traveling in sleepers, due to which even passengers with confirmed tickets have to travel standing or in discomfort. Despite this, no concrete arrangements are being made by the Railways.
