The effect of the policies implemented under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the strong administrative system is now clearly visible at the ground level. IT companies are continuously expanding in the state, which is creating new opportunities for employment generation, investment and technological innovation.

About 400 IT companies registered in the state under STPI

There are currently around 400 IT companies registered in Uttar Pradesh under Software Technology Parks of India (STPI). These include startups, medium-scale enterprises and large global companies. These companies are mainly working on software development, ITES, cloud services and Artificial Intelligence (AI) based services. IT expert Pradeep Yadav says that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision of promoting the technology sector is attracting IT companies to Uttar Pradesh.

Noida-Greater Noida becomes the major IT destination of the state

Noida and Greater Noida have established themselves as the biggest IT destination of Uttar Pradesh. Here data centres, cloud infrastructure and services based on new technologies are developing rapidly. Along with this, cities like Kanpur and Varanasi are also becoming emerging digital centres, which is strengthening the balanced and inclusive development of the state.

Number of STPI units expected to exceed 500 by 2026

IT experts believe that considering the current pace, the number of units registered under STPI in Uttar Pradesh may exceed 500 by the year 2026. These units are not only playing an important role in IT exports but are also giving a new direction to the economy of the state.

Strong presence from Microsoft to TCS in the state

Major national and international companies like Microsoft, TCS, HCL, Wipro, Infosys, Paytm and Adobe are operating on a large scale in Uttar Pradesh. Along with this, about 90 Global Capability Centers (GCCs) have been established in the state, where work on research and high level technical services is being done.

Youth are getting work opportunities at global level

With the presence of these big IT companies and Global Capability Centers, the youth of Uttar Pradesh are getting opportunities to work at the global level. Under the skill development schemes of the government, youth are being given training in modern technologies, so that they can prepare themselves as per the needs of the industry.
